I neither like or dislike the guy, I do however adhere to a certain message board code. Which is DO NOT LIE AND MAKE YOUR SELF LOOK TO BE ULTRA COOL WHEN YOU ARE NOT. When you get busted and you look like a dweeb for it, well HA HA HA on you. A thing sort of like this happened to me. I was running a myspace account for a band, another girl had started it but didn't have much time with it. She claimed to know the lead singer and I was helping run it, when she said to post something I did it. Well one day I go to the band's official site and they are blasting the myspace page saying they have nothing to do with it and blah blah blah. Well I emailed the webmaster and he verified that she had nothing to do with it. I posted a message on myspace saying I was posting on good faith and I APOLOGIZED for anyone that felt wronged or mislead. Then I went on the message board and explained my side of the story with the E-Mails verifying it. That's all that needs to be done here. Almost everyone seems to be in love with and wouldn't care if he just came out and said he lied. Me on other hand am judgmental and would forever think he was lame, unless I met him in person. One person mentioned he emailed this explaining things and saying, "no one would believe me anyways". Well that may be the case but people would certainly show him more "respect" if he did tell his side. I wouldn't believe him though.

Respect and recent drama on the forum
by SnakesInTheTower inpurps has an excellent topic on respect..respect-o-meter .. go read it if you haven't already.....though i alluded to this there i did not want to hijack her thread..... because of recent events on this board, i have lost the respect of certain posters.
this loss of respect has taken different forms.
in some cases, posters have come right out privately and said "i have lost respect for you because of what you did.

Honestly can you really "respect" anyone on a message board? I know people get vested into these message boards even myself...but I am not vested enough to really care or love anyone on here. Sorry it's just not how I operate. I have to at the very least talk to you on the phone. I would want to meet someone before I would say I love them. When I say love...I mean like real love or feeling. I can't honestly say I love or respect anyone on this board the way I truly love and respect say someone like my parents. I do however find it annoying when people come on her bragging about themselves and then get upset when someone points out obvious holes in their story. I honestly could care less about Richie/Trevor/anyone else who gets caught in a lie.

It effects anyone who reads his post. No it does not make me go home and cry in my pillow. Nor does it stop me from working or anything else. But there is some bit of myself vested in the message board. So it affects me mentally, and anyone else who reads his post. I don't take personal insult, but I won't believe anything he says from now on.

Anyone else here with ADD/ADHD?

i have a child that also has it.
since people with adhd have a problem fitting into organizations do you think it may be one of the reasons why you just couldn't take the jw's any more.

I think this crap is hilarious. First of all if Richie did indeed say he worked at this place, then all you need to clarify is call the place up. If they say, "no that guy has never worked here" then Richie is a liar. Plain and simple. Case Closed. No need to jump to judgment you can just easily clarify and it's over. The guy who said this was obviously trying to stop annoying calls and probably having to explain every time that this guy does not and never has worked at his shop. Is this an invasion of privacy to tell us? Was it not an invasion Richie did when he told people he worked there?
I think us ex-JW's are very naive and a little too faithful to friends. If you been on multiple message boards you always know to take whatever someone says with a grain of salt. If that person however tricks you or others you never take anything they ever say seriously again. Unless Richie comes to a meetup and I talk to him IN PERSON, he is just another dweeb who lied on the net to get attention.

Crazy JW Urban Legends
by Wordly Andre inok its time to recount all your favorite crazy jw urban legends, ill start i remember this one was told to me after i had left the org, there was a newly married couple, they were good little dubs, evil mother in law lived with them, she did not want to convert or study, well time went on they had a baby, and mother in law was into some spiritual stuff, unknown to jw mommy and daddy.
anyway jw mommy wakes up one night to find little baby dub sitting inside the fish tank with most of the water taken out and there was some kind of evil spirit present, mommy dub yells out jemimas name and breaks free with baby dub.
evil mother in law is asked to leave their happy home.
